Dashboard
The Dashboard is the main screen of OI Brief. It shows today's brief alongside a snapshot of your store's key metrics.
Open OI Brief from your Shopify admin to land here automatically.
Today's Brief
The top section displays the AI-generated brief for today. It's structured in three parts:

| Performance Summary | A concise overview of how your store performed today |
| Key Observations | Notable trends, anomalies, or highlights worth your attention |
| Recommended Actions | Specific next steps based on your data |
If today's brief hasn't been generated yet (e.g., it's still early morning), the dashboard will show a pending state. Check back after your configured delivery time.
Metrics Summary
Below the brief, you'll see a quick-glance metrics panel for today:
| Metric | Description |

| Revenue | Total sales revenue for today |
| Orders | Number of orders placed today |
| Average Order Value | Revenue ÷ orders (today) |
| Top Product | The product with the most orders today |
| Low Stock Alerts | Number of products with critically low inventory |
These metrics are pulled directly from your Shopify store each day and feed into the AI brief generation.
Brief Status
The dashboard displays the current status of today's brief:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | Brief is queued and will be generated soon |
| Generated | Brief has been created and is visible in the app |
| Emailed | Brief was successfully delivered to your inbox |
| Failed | Something went wrong during generation or delivery |
If the status shows Failed, go to Brief History to regenerate it.
No Data Yet?
If you just installed OI Brief, the dashboard may show no data for today. This is expected — OI Brief needs one full day of store activity before it can generate your first brief.
Your first brief will appear the morning after installation.
Navigation
From the dashboard, you can navigate to:
- Brief History — View and manage all past briefs.
- Settings — Configure your email, timezone, and delivery time.
