Settings

The Settings page lets you control how and when your daily brief is delivered.

Access it from the OI Brief app in your Shopify admin → Settings (left navigation).

Recipient Email​

The email address where your daily brief will be sent.

  • Enter any valid email address—it doesn't have to be your Shopify account email.
  • You can update this at any time; the change takes effect on the next daily dispatch.

OI Brief sends one email per day per store. If you want multiple recipients, consider using a distribution list or email alias.

Timezone​

Your timezone determines when OI Brief considers "today" for data collection and when your brief is dispatched.

Supported timezones include:

Set this to your local timezone so the brief arrives in the morning—not the middle of the night.

Delivery Time​

The time of day you want to receive your brief, in HH:MM format (24-hour clock).

Examples:

  • 07:00 — 7:00 AM (recommended for a morning briefing)
  • 09:00 — 9:00 AM
  • 18:00 — 6:00 PM (for an end-of-day summary)

The brief is generated and dispatched at this time in your selected timezone.

Email Delivery Toggle​

Use the Enable Email Delivery toggle to pause or resume your daily briefs.

  • On — Briefs are generated and emailed every day.
  • Off — Briefs are still generated and available in the app, but no email is sent.

This is useful if you want to temporarily stop receiving emails without changing your settings.

Saving Changes​

Click Save Settings after making any changes. Updates take effect on the next daily dispatch cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions​

Can I change my delivery time? Yes. Update the time in Settings and save. The new time applies starting the next day.

I changed my email but still got a brief at my old address. Settings changes apply to the next dispatch. Any brief already queued for today will go to the previous address.

How do I stop receiving emails temporarily? Toggle Email Delivery off. Toggle it back on when you're ready to resume.
